Sad, sad Saturday

I woke up today relaxed and smiling, reached for the TV remote and my smile was soon replaced with disbelief and astonishment. I had to call my father to ask if all this was true.
This morning the presidential plane crashed with literally dozens of important, well-known people. The president of Poland and his wife, the head of the National Security Office, the head of the National Bank of Poland, the civil rights commissioner, the army chaplain, heads of the army, heads of different churches and confessions, famous deputies and senators... I wasn't exactly a fan of our president, to say the least but his wife was a lovely, warm and kind person and the number of killed is so huge that I can't stop wondering if I should pinch myself... Such a distress for Poland, for the families and for any Pole - among the long list of well-known persons, there are names that deeply hurt each of us...
What a disaster.
