Equally sad Sunday

I'll be back with crafting news tomorrow... A heartfelt thank you to everyone who wrote words of support... The whole country is in a state of shock. What makes it even more painful for Poles is that the persons aboard the plane were to attend a memorial to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre. Katyn, an extremely tragic name in our history, wil now forever be linked also with yesterday's  horrible event. The irony of history?
As I'm typing, all Warsaw seems to be out in the streets with flowers and candles in their hands. The plane with the President's body has landed over an hour ago and after the official ceremony at the airport, it is now being transported to the Presidential Palace near the Old Town and people are lined up to bid a final farewell.
It is unsure if Maria Kaczynska's body has been identified yet. Only 22 bodies have been identified so far.
What a sorrow, Poland has lost so many valuable people. It is just unbelievable.

Here is what the streets look at this moment - click HERE.

And here's how Warsaw looked all night - click HERE
.
Thank you to everyone who has a thought for my country in these tragic days.

Yes, I see the scenes of the streets and in front of the Presidential Palace all these people with flowers and candles. At once it is both extremely sad and serenely beautiful.
