HOE Woodland Exchange from Annette

Lookie, lookie, see the beautiful needlebook Annette sent me in this exchange, it is very neatly finished and it's only the second I own, so it's doubly appreciated :)
Annette joined lovely goodies, all in the 'woodland' theme : leaves buttons, an interesting tri-color green ribbon, a piece of green fabric with leaves, two green skeins of DMC, I hope I'm not forgetting anything. All the supplies will be put to good use. Thank you again, Annette!

It's been a busy day in town, so I'll leave you with today's picture of Toska the devil cat. I and Happy are traveling tomorrow to visit my father to celebrate his 75th birthday on Saturday...can you believe he requested.... socks 'that wouldn't feel tight because he has to throw all those he has', heh???? he, the wine connoisseur didn't want any good bottle of whisky or coniac? no invitation to the restaurant 'because he has better food at home', heh?? ... Okay, so I got him a pair of *silk* socks to easy my pain thinking what he asks me buy for him for this special occasion... and a fantastic silk tie.
I didn't really mention, but I had really bad blood tests recently and the words "type II diabetes" were thrown on me unexpectedly... I spent lots of days doing all sorts of checks which worried me because the last time I did some of them, I was 17 I think... BUT today I went to collect the results and I am delighted to report that the mammography result is super fine, next check in 2 years only (well yes, Donna, you were right about the pancakes LOL!), that my EKG is super fine, that the chest x-ray is super fine... so what is not fine is a very high blood pressure which will require treatment, I'm seing the doctor tomorrow and the sugar problem, but I've corrected my diet and increased walking, so the results are much better than they were, actually it might not require treatment as of yet.
I was amazed to see how suddenly all sorts of things 'inside' went wrong... most probably due to stressing too much over work issues... I always had low pressure, so I am perplexed after checking it morning and evening for a week... close to 180/130 most of the time.
Yup, I should stress less. But this year is what it is - and it is not good for my professionnal stuff. Not good, so barely any stash will be bought in the close future - which irks me so much!! ;-)

PS. I ADORE the colors and the fur on her belly! :)

I'm so glad that your test results were not too bad. Crossing fingers here that your blood pressure and sugar levels will go back to normal. You should be careful with sweets to prevent becoming a diabetic.
That needle book is SO beautiful. Anette did a great job.
And you cat cracked me up. She is adorable isn't she.

Overall good test results, but I am sorry to hear about the high blood pressure and high sugar. I had high blood pressure at my last job and then was "miraculously cured" when I got a different job in a better and less stressful environment.
As for stitching stash, send me your mail address (to my e-mail...jsutherland1@earthlink.net) and perhaps I can help you out sometime. I love to send little gifts!

She may be a bit of a devil cat, but she is very beautiful! (And well fed! LOL!)

I'm sorry about your blood work and other health issues - I hope things will settle down for you and that medication and other intervention won't be necessary. Take care!!!

Oh, what a great exchnage gift. I also had thought of joining this exchnage becauser the theme is exactly my cup of tea but I want to get away from too much committment stitching.
It's always good to know what goes wrong with your body because then you can do something against it. I hope your blood pressure will get back to normal soon.
