Busy Thursday...
Today turned out more busy than planned, so again tonight I am not ready to post the gifties and exchanges I wanted to show. Another boring text for the morning... In the meantime, some medical checks and doctors visited, some nasty stuff excluded, we're down to two possibilities, one more probable than the other. I have other checks planned up till May. What I might have doesn't sound too scary but should be treated seriously nevertheless, I don't know more about it than I was able to google, so I'll wait for the next checks and a visit at the specialist in April to know more about possible treatments. Anyway, I am relieved to hear it's nothing inside the woman infrastructure, that's been checked thoroughly :)
Looks like I won't be home much this year, even less than the last. I'm leaving on Saturday for a week or possibly two, to spend time with my family (I'll work normally) and I'll return to Warsaw as soon as my cousin plans a business trip back here - I need his car to load cat, dog, stash, laptop and me, on top of the usual luggage. Grandma is slowing down visibly, who knows how long she'll be among us. But then that's what we've all been saying for the last 20 years or so :) I can't wait to see Toska again and to bring her home.
Then I'll be back home for a week or two, then Easter away again... H. will come for what I'm sure will be a lovely week in family :) And then, a month later, I'll be flying away to Norway for the summer. I'll admit to you that's the only thing that keeps me running these days. I don't like it here alone any more, and doggie doesn't like the downtown environment at all either :)
Work has been desperately slow in February, but then I had flu as well so had to turn down a few jobs. As a result, I only ordered a couple of things from the Nashville market, the Lizzie Kate among these, and I can't help thinking I didn't do the right choices. I keep updating my wishlist but the fantastic new Good Huswife charts and others will just have to wait. I absolutely want to stitch some of them in the recommended silks, and that'll have to wait till I'm rich again ;-) Same for the Blackbird Designs, I will only order the kit for the Small Token pincushion Theresa is offering this month. Hopefully the stockings and the lovely My Heart is True leaflet won't be sold out very soon :) I've heard on the PS group that a very recent leaflet just became OOP, though.
Not like I have nothing to stitch, heh! But you all know how it is, we jump on the new stuff like on fresh bread rolls :)
I'm two days away from being finished with CHS Strawberry Blonde. That one is an absolute fav'. I so like the way the silk colors play on the LL linen. I haven't been framing my finishes for a long time, but I think I'll fork out the money for this one very soon!
I'll leave you with a biscornu I made in January... this picture is very dear to me, I placed the biscornu on the snow in the garden and each time I look at it, I remember that day and that moment. By now, I'm sure you all know how much I miss Norway and my H. :)
Stitched on 33 ct. Dove Grey (R&R) fabric
with Gloriana Silks or Thread Gatherer (sorry, I've misplaced the tag)

It must be difficult to travel so much, and also to be apart from you husband. I know this lifestyle well, and I am grateful to be more settled now. Of course my animals are a great comfort to me as I suspect yours are to you. It will be nice to see a photo of Toska soon.
I wonder, what is the number of the chart used for your PS exchange I the pink-shaded flowers) that you sent to Lawrence? It looks so familiar, but I think you have changed the colors a bit? It is lovely!
I hope you feel well again soon.
I hope you're fine health wise. And I can imagine that you are missing your b/f. And Norway. It's quite beautiful there. Wishing you a nice time with your family and hopefully the time will fly until H. arrives. How long will you stay in Norway this time?
That biscornu is looking beautiful. Couldn't see the other 2 pics.
Me too, couldn't see the other 2 pics :-(
Oh, I sure sympathize with your wishes to be home and in the countryside. Urban/suburban settings are just so ... tiring. Hard to find the right words for it, but that's what I think of it.
I'm glad to hear that you're narrowing down the diagnosis - I hope that whatever the condition turns out to be, it's easily treatable with a minimum of fuss or discomfort. Fingers crossed.
And of course, good luck with the finances! I hope some great jobs will come your way in March! :D
As always I love the biscornu you made :) I wish you health, so you may enjoy each day in comfort!
Have a nice weekend!
I hope they find out what's wrong with you very soon Anna!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for a fast diagnosis and for a treatment that will be done easily and successfully.
I must be so difficult to be separated from the loved one, no matter for how long it is. I wish you a bit more rest and peace for the months to come.
