A Christmas Wish of Health and Happiness

That is the name of the recent Blue Ribbon Designs freebie I stitched for Cathy in Becky's Stitching bloggers Birthday/Christmas exchange. We didn't know each other before but this exchange was another great opportunity to meet a fellow stitcher from the other side of the globe :)
I mounted the chart on styrofoam, added two types of Norwegian (or Swedish?) ribbons and some beads. The back was in red fabric. I got several types of these ribbons with little hearts, they are actually very typical of Scandinavia and I was delighted to have an occasion to finally use them recently!

I included a clay rooster, a laced napkin, a little hand-painted bowl (for orts?) and a recent chart I loved.

I just visited your blog for the first time, your stitching and finishing are gorgeous. The gingerbread cookies you posted aobut look wonderful, and it must have been a lot of fun to do that as a family.

Hi, Anna, nice to make your acquaintance. I came over from Cathy's blog after seeing the darling gifts you sent her! What wonderful little ceramics, as well as stitching. I'm adding you to my blog visit list right away. So much fun to read all about what you're doing!
