It CAN get weirder!
Ooooooh yes it can! You won't believe it, at least neither H. nor my family can. This is *another* case where my data have been used! In the one I mentioned earlier, the b---d used my address and fax number - but not my name nor ID number - to try to get credits at many, many banks. Hmppppfff.
Now it seems someone (else?) used my name and my address in some bad way. I am "suspected" of having bought illegal diploma(s) online from a guy selling those both on the Polish equivalent of ebay and on a diploma-related site. I simply can't understand how all that is happening to me and can these two cases be coincidental? In what way? I just don't know. What worries me is that in the current one, the person also knew my second name which I only use in official documents.
We didn't go to the official part of the police "audition". The police officer was a young, beautiful woman. I'd say in 50% we just had a relaxed, laughing talk but the other 50% of time when I was asked about something and was replying, she had this disturbing way of looking me deep and straight into my eyes. Sure was a police technique but I can tell you that even if you're 100% honest, sincere and haven't done anything wrong, you can start to stutter and look like you're terribly guilty! LOL I need to calm down the next time! :)
Okay. So I was given to read the official document sent by the district attorney in Cracow, asking the special investigation section in Warsaw to audition me, to ask if I know a person called ---- -----, or using the nick ---- or -----, if I had bought a diploma or anything else from that person, had contacts with him etc. No, I haven't. No, I don;t know that person. But I told the police officer that I want to be 100% sure and honest with me and her so I'd return home, search through my harddrives where I still have stored all the information about the ebay and similar transactions I was in here in Poland or abroad, to check if I hadn't bought anything else such as a book, dictionary, mug from him.
I checked and I haven't. I have an appointment on Monday again to do the official part of the interrogation and sign what I have to sign. But now I have all the reasons to worry. Who is doing that? Who knows my second name? A coincidence, two cases like that within 2 months? Am I on a sort of bad list bought by someone? I can only hope this will stop soon. On Monday I will also call the police officer who came to see me at home some time ago. I had an excellent contact with him and the way I think I know him, he might contact the other department in another part of the town and maybe he'll have something to tell me. I am just curious to hear if he thinks there's any sort of connection between the two cases.
I'll keep you updated!

Witaj, czyta sie to jak ksiazke szpiegowska. A ty w takich tarapatach...Trzymaj sie mocno. A zaproszenie do Gdanska pozostaje wazne ( na razie nie mamy tam zadnego internetu, zadnego banku, nic ...) Pozdrowienia. Ela
Oh my goodness that is so awful. Poor you. I hope it gets sorted out soon
Sorry to hear about all that, and i really hope it will be sorted out very soon.
Try not to worry. From now on always delete any bank numbers that you put in the computer, put out a alert to the Social Security if you all have that over there. let the police know about any fradulent marks that occur on your name that you know you did not do. It stinks, but did you know that once your identity is stolen and used in a harmful way, it's hard to get things back right. I know, my purse was stolen 4 years ago, I still have to keep a copy of my police report that I was a victim of theft on my person or in my car. I was the victim, but you know what the cop told me? Life stinks, get used to it! I couldn't believe it, but you know what it's true, you just have to find a way to make your life happy regardless of all the bad! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Anna, I am so sorry this is happening to you. You have a much better attitude about it than I would! I hope this can be straightened out as soon as possible and that the previous officer can assist you in this problem as well!
Thank you everyone :) I'll post an update soon on the situation.
Donna - here we use our ID number. I think I think the right thing when I ran to the police immediately to file a report. I feel I'll be better trusted if anything worse happens. Knock on wood! :)
Oh, Anna I am so sorry, Honey... I hope this all gets sorted for you quickly and you don't have any more bother with it...
Sending you lots of {{{Hugs}}} Sweetie!!! :-)
